Benefits and Claims for patients with mesothelioma

If you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be able eligible to claim Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB).  

If you or a relative were exposed to asbestos in the UK, you may be entitled to a payment as part of a government-run assistance scheme: GOV.UK: mesothelioma payments

Many of the Regional Support Groups can give advice on which benefits your are eligible for and how to claim them.

Benefits for veterans

If you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma due to military service, you may be eligible to other benefits or one-off payments. As soon as possible after diagnosis, contact the Veterans Welfare Centre most local to you or Veterans UK.
